Principal's Message

Dear Hawks Family,

Once again, we have come to the close of another remarkable and memorable school year.  Time really went by fast especially during the last two months of school when teachers, students, parents, aunts, uncles, and grandparents were involved in Distance Learning via devices and/or participating by picking up,  completing, and returning paper packets.  I cannot thank you enough for the amazing efforts made and the support and patience shown by all in adapting to the new way of teaching and learning.

Distance learning continues through our summer school program, which begins on June 1, 2020.  Many of your children were recommended to attend the program for either additional assistance or for providing your children an insight into what they will expect to learn as they go on to the next grade level.  If you have questions regarding summer school, please feel free to contact the school at (956)273-3600.  The Child Nutrition Program, Grab n’ Go will continue over the summer from 9:30 - 12:00.  Please take advantage of this wonderful program.

Report cards are available through the Skyward School Portal; however, hard copies of your child/children’s report card(s) are available at the school.  In addition, personal belongings, awards, and certificates of some of the students have not yet been picked up.  Please feel free to come by and pick them up.

In closing, it was an honor and privilege to have your children at Heights Elementary School. I hope that your children have had a memorable year. We thank you for entrusting your children to us. Please continue to listen for updates about the beginning of the school year.  I also hope that as we come back to school we will be adding another honor to our school, that of being name a 2020 Blue Ribbon School.  I hope that you have an enjoyable, restful, safe, and healthy summer.  Please feel free to contact me with questions, concerns, or suggestions.  Always remember that we “Heights Strong” and together we will continue to take on every challenge and meet it head-on.  See you soon!
