Principal's Message

Message from the Principal

Dear Hawks Family,

On behalf of teachers, staff, and administration, I welcome you to the 2020 – 2021 school year. As we ended the school year, we begin this school year with even more changes and challenges. We need to continue in making those ever-important connections between our teachers, students, parents, and administrators so that we can assure your children with a quality education. For the beginning of the school year, the majority of our students will be involved in virtual instruction, while some may be involved in face-to-face instruction on the first day of school, August 24, 2020. Whichever the mode of instruction, I can assure you that everyone at Heights Elementary School is committed to providing each child with the necessary tools to succeed academically. With the best, dedicated staff any school could have, we are determined in providing a valuable, rigorous instruction for all. In addition to providing everyone with a well-rounded, quality education, I can also assure you that safety for all is also another priority area and we are committed to following the safety protocols established by the CDC, our local health authority, and our school district.

Once again, welcome back! We are excited to begin another school year. Remember that at Heights Elementary School, we “Dream it, Dare it and Do it and we are Strong, Proud, and Ready!” We will continue to face challenges throughout this school year, but we will adapt to whatever lies ahead. I always look forward to listening to ideas from our parents and community members in making Heights Elementary an even greater school. Please do not hesitate to call us at (956)273-3600.
