Dear Parents/Guardians, As we approach the much-anticipated spring break, I would like to take a moment to remind you of the importance of both restful relaxation and academic preparation during this time. Spring break offers a well-deserved opportunity for our students to recharge their batteries, spend quality time with family, and engage in activities that bring them joy and fulfillment. It's crucial that they make the most of this break to rejuvenate their minds and bodies, ensuring they return to school refreshed and ready to tackle the challenges that lie ahead. However, amidst the relaxation and enjoyment, it's essential to keep in mind the upcoming state testing period. Our students have been working diligently throughout the year, and these assessments provide a valuable opportunity for them to showcase their knowledge and skills. With that in mind, I encourage you to gently remind your child about the importance of maintaining a balance between leisure and academic focus during the break. Here are a few tips to help ensure a safe and restful spring break while also preparing for the upcoming state testing: **Rest and Relaxation**: Encourage your child to get plenty of sleep, engage in activities they enjoy, and spend quality time with family and friends. **Stay Active and Healthy**: Encourage physical activity and healthy eating habits to maintain overall well-being. **Set Aside Study Time**: While it's important to unwind, setting aside a small amount of time each day for review or practice can help your child stay mentally sharp and prepared for the return to school. **Encourage Positivity**: Remind your child that they are capable and well-prepared for the upcoming tests. Encourage a positive mindset and offer support and encouragement along the way. As we look forward to a safe and enjoyable break, let's also keep in mind the importance of returning to school with a renewed focus and determination. Together, we can ensure that our students are both rested and prepared to excel during the state testing period. Thank you for your continued support and partnership in your child's education. Should you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out. Warm regards, Adriana Padilla, Principal Heights Elementary School
